Product description
“Copper dog” is a blended malt whisky named after a copper sleeve, an ingenious device in which distillery workers would carry out whisky to enjoy in the comfort of their home.
This is a 2016 creation by master blender Stuart Morrison, made from eight Speyside single malts for the famous Craigellachie Hotel. The whisky formula remains a secret, all we know is that all the ingredients were supplied by Diageo. They were aged in refill American and European oak barrels, fresh bourbon barrels and reconditioned casks, and the final blend was made in hogsheads. Our bottle comes from batch 16/0673. Copper Dog is also the name of the bar at the aforementioned Craigellachie Hotel.
