- A gin that was produced using an old recipe, originating from before the onset of London Dry Gin style.
Product description
Gin produced according to an old recipe, dating back to before the London Dry Gin style appeared on the market.
The Old Tom style is less of a juniper-tart flavour and more of a sweet flavour. It is often sweetened with natural sugars and sweet botanicals, such as liquorice. Winston Churchill was a fan of this style of gin. In the case of Gin Lane 1751 (a reference to William Hoghart's engraving of a street full of drunken pedestrians), Old Tom Gin has a distinctly aniseed flavour. Distilled in small batches.
Aroma : Accents of juniper, anise and citrus fruits.
Taste : Clearly sweeter, with accents of anise and citrus.
