Jim Beam Rye Pre-Prohibition / 40% / 0.7l
Product description
Rye whiskey, once the American national drink, fell into oblivion after the end of Prohibition.
It was not until the bourbon renaissance of the early 21st century that consumers took notice of it and encouraged producers to enrich their commercial offer with it. (Just 20 years ago, only three distilleries produced straight rye, each for a few days a year.) In early 2015, the company withdrew the standard version of Jim Beam Rye (Yellow Label) and replaced it with Pre-prohibition Rye, supposedly distilled according to a different recipe. However, Beam did not reveal this, only assuring that the rye content in it is at least 51% (which is required by regulation).
