Product description
The original Michter's Distillery operated in Shaefferstown, Pennsylvania from 1753 to 1989 and produced bourbon and rye whiskey.
This is where the famous AH Hirsch Bourbon came from, and today it is one of the most collectible American whiskeys. The Michter's brand returned to the market with the new century, this time as an offering from Joe Magliocco's Chatham Imports. In 2015, a new Michter's Distillery opened in Shively, a suburb of Louisville. The Michter's US*1 Straight Rye presented here is a single barrel whiskey (ours comes from barrel L15C321) bottled at 42.4% ABV. The company does not disclose any information about its recipe or place of origin.
