Product description
Pulteney Distillery produces around 1.8 million litres of distillate per year. Some of it goes into blends from the Inver House portfolio, such as Hankey Bannister and Catto's, some is bottled as Old Pulteney Single Malt, and some is used as a component of Stroma liqueur.
Stroma is an islet off the coast of Caithness, battered by wind and waves, whose Gaelic name refers to the dangerous current that flows around it. Little is known about the formula of Stroma, apart from the fact that its main ingredient is single malt Old Pulteney. This drink is a great summer drink, especially when served with ice. (The tasting note comes from the producer.)
Aroma: the captivating scent of whiskey enriched with the aroma of toffee.
Taste : Stroma is a wonderful liqueur, the result of combining single malt whiskies with a variety of aromatic and flavor palettes. Sweet, mild and warming, just like the island from which it takes its name, it conceals a surprisingly wide range of flavors. Whether served neat or with ice, Stroma leaves a pleasant warmth and an unforgettable tasting experience.
