Cointreau Orange Liqueur / 40% / 0.7l
Product description
In 1849, confectioner Adolphe Cointreau and his brother Edouard-Jean built a distillery in Angers, France, to produce alcohol from local fruit. In 1875, E. Cointreau took over the distillery and created the Cointreau liqueur. "I was passionately searching for the quintessence of the Cointreau taste, I wanted to combine crystal clarity with the subtlety of the aroma of sweet and bitter orange peels," he said of his drink. The dried green-brown peels of bitter oranges and the orange-red peels of sweet oranges are first stored in special baskets, then macerated and distilled in fiery red copper vats to extract every drop of essential oils.
