Product description
The name Whiskey Velvet Cap refers to the velvet cap traditionally worn by jockeys during steeplechases.
It debuted in 1880 in the offer of the Thomas Power & Co. company and currently belongs to the Blackwater Distillery. The latter was established in 2014 by Peter Mulryan in Cappoquin, County Waterford; since 2018, its headquarters is in Ballyduff, County Kerry. Blackwater is equipped with three Italian stills and produces single malt and single pot still whiskey, and is also involved in blending.
