- Here we have 2021 Christmas Edition, bottled at 52.8% abv, presented with a label featuring the famous bearded “Brand Ambassador” riding a sleigh on his island home of Islay to share a Holiday dram with his fellow islanders.
Product description
Big Peat, in the words of its creator “the essence of Islay in one bottle”, debuted in 2009 and strengthened Douglas Laing & Co.’s already strong position in the blended malt whisky segment.
Its formula is based on whiskies from the Isle of Islay, mainly Caol Ila, Ardbeg, Bowmore and Port Ellen, which has been idle since 1983. The Christmas version appeared two years later, composed according to a similar formula, but bottled in cask strength. The Christmas Edition presented here is the company's proposal for Christmas 2021. This time, the label shows a "brand ambassador" (Big Peat) racing on a sleigh across his home, snow-covered island to make a Christmas toast with his compatriots.
