Product description
West Cork Distillers has been operating since 2003, founded by three friends – John O'Connell and brothers Dennis and Ger McCarthy.
Originally based at Union Hall in County Cork, the distillery moved to larger premises in Skibbereen (Cork) ten years later. The distillery distills malt and grain whiskeys and blends its own blend. West Cork uses locally grown grain, distills in four stills and every drop of spirit is triple distilled. This blended whiskey, made from 75% grain and 25% malt distillates aged in fresh bourbon barrels, was finished for 6 to 8 months in Irish stout barrels from Castle Island Brewing Company.
