The Tarlogan was launched in the fall of 2016 as the third expression of Glenmorangie Legends (following Duthac and Tayne), a collection of single malt whiskies exclusive to Travel Retail, which pays homage to local legends.
The whisky is named after the ancient Pictish king, who gave his name to the woodlands surrounding Glenmorangie’s water source, Tarlogie Spring. The spring produces mineral-rich water and has served as the sole water source for the distillery since 1843. Glenmorangie Tarlogan is bottled at 43% abv, without age statement and comprises whiskies aged in ex-bourbon and virgin oak casks.
