Product description
Glen Deveron whisky comes from the Macduff Distillery based in the Eastern Highlands.
The distillery was built in 1960 by a group of private investors, and 12 years later it was owned by William Lawson Distillers, controlled by Martini & Rossi. Today, the plant is equipped with five stills and produces over 3 million liters of distillate per year. Macduff Distillery is, and has always been, the main supplier of malt distillate to William Lawson's blend, which currently sells 35 million bottles per year. The Glen Deveron 5 years old, distilled 1986, presented here, was aged in American oak barrels and bottled for the Italian distributor and owner of the distillery, the Martini & Rossi group. At that time, Italians liked young single malts and the Glen Deveron discussed here successfully competed with 5-year-old Glen Grant or Bushmills.
