Product description
Tullamore Dew is the second largest seller in the Irish whiskey category (13 million bottles in 2017).
The original Tullamore Distillery, also known as Daly's Distillery, operated from 1829 to 1954, producing triple-distilled pure pot still whiskey. After its closure, the brand became the property of Powers Distillery Co. and returned to the market as a blended whiskey. Since 2010, Tullamore Dew has been owned by William Grant & Sons, who acquired it from Cantrell & Cochrane for €171 million. The Scots built a new Tullamore distillery, which began operating in September 2014. Today, the Tullamore Dew brand stands for single malt and blended whiskey; the latter is a blend of triple-distilled single malt, single pot still and single grain whiskeys aged mainly in bourbon barrels with a small addition of sherry barrels.
