Product description
It could be said that William Grant & Sons is back on the path it set 50 years ago, when it was the first to promote single malt whisky outside Scotland.
This time it's the single grain category, so far the most niche in Scotch whisky. Girvan is a modern and extremely efficient grain distillery producing over 120 million liters of distillate per year, and the name No. 4 Apps is an abbreviation of Distilling Apparatus No. 4 , a column installed there in 1992. The whisky used in this edition comes from bourbon casks and is bottled without an age statement.
Aroma: fresh, floral-grassy, vanilla, bananas, traces of lemon peel.
Taste: a wave of vanilla, honey, banana cake, pineapple, coconut, complemented by notes of pepper and ginger.
Finish: fresh and rather short, vanilla, grapefruit, young oak.
