Finding a bottle of single malt aged in Cognac barrels can be quite a challenge.
Our offer lists almost 2.5 thousand whiskies, but only two are in this category. A. Hardy Company has been producing and trading cognac since 1863. Its famous Napoleon is a blend of Grande, Petite and Borderies cognacs. The Arran A. Hardy Napoleon Cognac Cask Finish presented here consists of only 487 bottles. The whisky is bottled at 57.7% alcohol and without an age statement.
Nose: elegant, grapes, sweet red berries, citrus, milk fudge, a delicate medicinal note (cherry cough syrup) and damp wood.
Taste: an interesting combination of sweet berries (raspberries, strawberries) and chili peppers, traces of cinnamon, cloves, dark chocolate and oak.
Finish: not too long, spicy with a sweet note of grape juice.
