In 2006, Diageo offered three Singletons to three continents: Dufftown for Europe, Glen Orda for Asia, and Glendullan for America. These were 12-year-old whiskies with friendly aromatic and flavor palettes, sold at equally "friendly" prices. The 38-year-old Glendullan presented here, the oldest Singleton available to date, differs significantly from this image. The whisky, distilled in 1975, spent its entire maturation period in refill European oak barrels. It hit the market in 2014 in a cask strength version (59.8% abv), in the prestigious Special Releases series in the amount of 3,756 bottles.
