Product description
Glenmorangie Distillery (its name translates from Gaelic to “gorge of peace”) is the undisputed leader in the field of whisky finishing.
The first "finish" hit the market in 1987, and it was the now legendary 1963 Vintage finished in Oloroso sherry butt casks. Since the late 90s, the basic range has listed four "finishes", alongside which limited editions have appeared. One of them was the Tain L'Hermitage Finish, which is now highly sought after by collectors. The whisky, distilled in 1975, spent almost a quarter of a century in American oak bourbon casks, before spending another four years in wine casks from Tain L'Hermitage, where the most famous wines of the northern Rhône Valley come from.
