Glenmorangie Distillery is the undisputed leader in the field of finishing whisky.

The first edition of this type hit the market in 1987, and it was the now legendary 1963 Vintage finished in Oloroso sherry butt casks. In 1994, Port Wood Finish was added to the basic offer, and soon others joined: Sherry, Madeira and Burgundy. The 15-year-old Sauternes Wood Finish debuted in 2002, paving the way for the Nectar D'Òr version. The whisky spent 10 years in bourbon casks and another five in Sauternes casks. For several years, Glenmorangie sales have remained at a level of 6 million bottles per year, which places this whisky in fourth place among the most popular single malts.

Aroma : fruity, strong notes of Sauternes, apricots, tangerines, caramel, toffee, delicate mineral tones, a trace of musk and oak.

Taste: mild, quite strong wine tones, apricots, grapes, sour cherries, milk chocolate, roasted nuts, lemon pepper and quite strong oak notes.

Finish : medium long, vinous, oaky and spicy with a light fruity note.
