Dos Maderas 5 + 5 PX Triple Aged Rum set / 40% / 0.7l

Dos Maderas rums are blends of spirits from Barbados and Guyana, where some of the best rums come from.

Barbados rums are light and smooth, while Guyana rums are more full-bodied, richer and perfect for enhancing almost any blended rum. This excellent blend of rums is matured in traditional American oak barrels that previously held American bourbon. After maturing in the Caribbean climate, the rums are transported to Spain, to the Williams & Humbert bodega in Jerez de la Frontera, one of the largest wineries in Europe. There, they are placed in barrels that previously held Dos Cortados or Don Guido sherry, each of which has been matured in barrels for at least 20 years.

Rum Dos Maderas 5+5 PX Triple Aged spent 5 years in oak barrels in the Caribbean, after which it was placed in Dos Cortados (Palo Cortado) sherry barrels for 3 years. Up to this point, the maturation process is identical to that of Dos Maderas 5+3. In the third stage of maturation, this rum is placed in Don Guido Pedro Ximénez sherry barrels for another 2 years. In its bouquet we will find accents of vanilla, molasses, caramel, toffee, dried dates, figs, apricots and plums, walnuts, orange peel and cloves.
