Product description
George Dickel Tennessee Whiskey debuted in 1964, previously offered as Cascade Whiskey.
The original distillery closed in 1919 (after the repeal of Prohibition, Cascade whiskey was produced in Kentucky) and was not rebuilt until 1958, about 1 km away. Today, the distillery and the Dickel brand are owned by Diageo. The whiskey formula lists 84% corn, 8% rye and 8% malted barley. While Jack Daniel's passes every drop of distillate through a 10-foot bed of maple charcoal, Dickel steeps it in vats filled with charcoal for about a week. George Dickel Classic No. is blended from distillates aged for four to six years.
