Product description
Chivas Regal is, alongside Johnnie Walker Black Label, the most popular blended Scotch whisky in the premium sector (annual sales of over 4 million cases).
It debuted on the market in 1909, 16 years after the death of the last of the Chivas family and the takeover of the company by two employees. The 18-year-old version is the creation of Colin Scott, the master blender of Chivas, from 1997, when the rights to the brand were held by the Canadian company Seagram (since 2001 it has belonged to Pernod Ricard). Since the early 1950s, the core of the Chivas formula has been Strathisla, other key malts are Longmorn, Tormore, Braeval and Glen Keith. In 2014, Chivas Regal 18 years old won the title of best blended Scotch whisky at the annual International Wine & Spirits Competition.
