Product description
Glen Talloch is a somewhat enigmatic brand of whisky produced by Crammond & Sons and distributed by the Dutch Boosma Distillery.
The brand’s website doesn’t reveal any details about the blend presented here, apart from the fact that it is made from “carefully selected Scottish malt and grain distillates from the Highlands and Lowlands aged in oak barrels for an average of 4-5 years”. However, we did come across information that the blend includes Speyburn, Knockdhu and Craigellachie, although we have no way of verifying this. The “Peated” version presented here contains whisky finished in whisky barrels with a smoky and peaty profile. Glen Talloch is one of the most popular whiskies on the Dutch market.
Nose: grain alcohol, brown sugar, oatmeal, green apples and pears, white pepper, pencil shavings, notes of peat and oak.
Palate: slightly smoky, cereal, brown sugar, vanilla, cooked apples, notes of pepper, licorice and oak.
Finish: not too long, alcoholic, with notes of cereal, sugar, pepper, oak, hay and peat.
