Product description
The Isle of Raasay Distillery was established in 2017. It is based on the tiny Isle of Raasay (population 161 souls) to the east of Skye.
The plant is equipped with one pair of stills and produces 200 thousand liters of distillate per year, dividing the production in equal parts into "peated" (distilled from malt with a concentration of phenol compounds of 50 ppm) and "unpeated". Maturation takes place on the island. Raasay single malt debuted with a limited edition in November 2020, from June 2021 the basic offer has been available. The Isle of Raasay Peated presented here was aged in a fresh red Bordeaux cask (no. 18/690) and bottled at cask strength (61.5% abv), natural color and without chill filtration as part of the Na Sia Single Cask Series.
