Product description
Rumy Plantation is the embodiment of the vision of entrepreneur Alexandre Gabriel, associated since 1989 with one of the prestigious cognac houses, Maison Ferrand.
His search for outlets for the financially declining Maison Ferrand took him to the Caribbean and Latin America. The sale of cognac barrels to rum producers was soon linked to rum purchases, the first attempts at blending, bottling and distribution. Today, Maison Ferrand is, in addition to the producer of Ferrand cognac and Citadelle gin, a significant selector, blender and distributor of rums from every corner of the world. As the producer himself says about himself, in this industry, careful maturation of the drink, attachment to tradition, diversity and double maturation count.
Plantation Sealander Rum is a premium rum, a blend of distillates from the West Indies Distillery in Barbados, Saint Aubin in Mauritius and RUM Co of Fiji Distillery in Fiji. It is a blend of molasses and sugar cane rums, distilled in pot stills and column stills. It was initially matured for several years in the tropics in American white oak bourbon barrels, before being matured for one year in a continental climate in Ferrand cognac barrels.
