Product description
Daddy Rack Tennessee Whiskey is the creation of J. Arthur Rackham, a man with 40 years of experience in the alcoholic beverages market (the name Daddy Rack was given to him by his eldest daughter, Grace).
Born in West London, Rackham began his career in 1968 at Maison Camus, later working as an advisor to distributors of cognacs, armagnacs and calvados, and also developed several gins. Daddy Rack is distilled in Columbia, Tennessee, from a mash of corn (80%), rye (10%) and malted barley (10%), and aged in charred American oak barrels; the whiskey is charcoal-mellowed twice. This single cask edition has been aged in barrel no. 4 for three years and eight months and bottled at cask strength (57.8% abv) in 2022.
Nose: slightly alcoholic, sweet and spicy, caramel, maple syrup, honey, vanilla pudding, baked apples, cinnamon, cloves and charred oak.
Palate: consistent with aroma, vanilla, honeyed peanuts, caramel, cooked fruit, raisins, mocha, cinnamon, candied ginger and oak.
Finish: quite long, with notes of caramel, vanilla, honey, cinnamon rolls, mulled wine spice and oak.
