Glenturret The Trinity Provenance By Lalique / 43.7% / 0.7l

Provenance, released in December 2020, is the first instalment in the luxurious Glenturret whisky triptych.

The second edition, “Prowess” (Competence), was released two years later, and the release date of the final edition, “Passion,” is not yet known. The Provenance edition is dedicated to barley and consists of 320 crystal decanters by Lalique filled with 33-year-old whisky distilled in 1987. Marc Larminaux, creative artistic director of Lalique, explains the inspiration behind the presentation – “the key to the secret of Glenturret whisky is the highest quality barley. The barley fields, slowly swaying in the gentle breeze and bathed in the light of the morning sun, are a beautiful, almost hypnotizing sight and a true inspiration for the artist. The ears of barley visible at the bottom of the decanter symbolize the source of the whisky.”

The whisky used in this edition comes from three barrels personally selected by master blender Bob Dalgarno. The drink is characterized by "rich notes of ginger, brandy-soaked raisins and juicy sultanas; followed by some cinnamon, dates, green apples and a subtle oak bitterness."
