Product description
Springbank Local Barley is an iconic whisky distilled in 1965/1966 and bottled between 1990 and 2001.
Springbank reintroduced it to the range in 2016 with the 1999 Vintage, announcing further releases in the coming years. December 2022 brought Springbank Local Barley 11 years old, distilled in May 2011 from the Belgravia variety, sourced from Glencraigs Farm, on the Kintyre Peninsula, near Campbeltown. Of course, all the grain was malted at Springbank, and the distillate was aged in sherry (55%), bourbon (35%) and rum (10%) casks. The whisky was bottled at 55.1% abv and without chill filtration, limited to 15,000 bottles.
