Product description
Kingsbarns Distillery is an investment by the Wemyss family in 2014.
The family’s connection with whisky dates back to the early 19th century, with John Haig building the Cameronbridge Distillery on its land in 1824. Kingsbarns began distilling in March 2015, with its single malt debuting in the summer of 2018 to rave reviews. The distillery operates a single pair of stills and uses locally grown barley. Kingsbarns Balcomie joined the range in 2020 with a limited edition of 2,208 bottles. Its name refers to the 16th-century Balcomie Castle, and the whisky itself is aged in Oloroso sherry casks. Two years later, we received a limited edition Balcomie Cask Strength bottled at 59.9% abv. 3,600 bottles were released.
