Product description
The Hart family began trading in the late 19th century, but it was not until 1964 that brothers Iain and Donald Hart joined the whisky producers, changing the name of the family business to Wine & Spirits Wholesalers and Scotch Whisky Blenders.
Alistair Hart joined in 1975 and remains the blender to this day, selecting the casks for all Hart Brothers whiskies. The Tormore featured here was distilled in June 2013, then matured in American oak casks for a basic maturation and finished in an Armagnac butt. It was bottled at 46% abv, natural colour and unchill-filtered in July 2022. Tormore Distillery was built in 1958 by Schenley International. In 2005, the distillery became the property of Chivas Bros., a subsidiary of Pernod Ricard, and has been owned by Elixir Distillers since 2022.
