The Dutch company Infinity Spirits, based in Amsterdam, is engaged in the selection, blending and bottling of rums.

Its portfolio includes a whole range of series and collections, which - as they say - are intended to fill the gap between private bottlings and well-known rum brands. The rum blends are put together by the master blender Hein Smit, who has been involved in this difficult art for years. The Cane Island series is the most prestigious project of Infinity Spirits and Hein Smit herself. It consists primarily of single estate rums, originating from single estates, single distilleries, as well as single islands, i.e. blends of rums originating from one island. All rums in this series are matured in tropical conditions. Such maturation is three times more intensive than in colder climates.

Cane Island Thailand 5yo is a single estate rum from an undisclosed distillery in Pathum Thani Province. It is made with molasses, column still, and matured in white oak barrels ex-American bourbon.

Aroma: Raisins, nuts, pipe tobacco, oak, vanilla.

Taste: Light bitterness, hazelnuts, vanilla, tobacco, pepper, oak.

Finish: Spicy, peppery, citrus notes.
