Bareksten Botanical Gin is the work of Stig Bareksten, a bartender and great lover of the forest (Stig is also one of the authors of the Harahorn gin formula).

Bareksten gin is distilled at Oss Craft Distillery based in Bergen, Norway. It debuted in 2015 and in the following years won over 20 prestigious awards, the most important of which was a double gold medal awarded by the judges of the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2020. Bareksten gins are considered the quintessence of Norway. The formula of the "Botanical Gin" presented here contains 26 botanical ingredients, including 19 local ones. The list includes juniper berries, chamomile, elderberry, nutmeg, anise, cumin, cinnamon, fennel, lavender, orange and lime peel, angelica root, cardamom, rhubarb, forest berries, Scandinavian blueberries, coriander and grains of paradise. The base of the gin is potato spirit, and most of the ingredients are subjected to 24-hour maceration.

Bareksten Botanical Gin releases the breath of the Scandinavian forest. In the aromatic and flavor palette we find strong tones of juniper and pine needles, forest floor, berries, strong herbal notes and a trace of citrus. We recommend serving with Fentimans Connoisseurs tonic and a slice of orange or in Martini and Negroni cocktails.
