Product description
Fred Laing's XOP series debuted in 2014, a dozen or so months after the division of Douglas Laing & Co.'s assets between the two Laing brothers.
XOP stands for Xtra Old Particular and refers to the finest single malt and single grain casks from the family’s stockpile. This Cameronbridge 37 year old is the crème de la crème of the XOP collection. Distilled in March 1984, it spent over 37 years in a refill hogshead cask, DL 15421. Bottled in December 2021 at natural colour, cask strength (54.4% abv) and without chill filtration in a limited edition of 274 bottles. Cameronbridge is owned by Diageo and, following an expansion completed in 2012, produces around 120 million litres of spirit per year. (Producer’s tasting note.)
