Stalk & Barrel Blue Blend Canadian Whiskey / 40% / 0.75l

Stalk & Barrel Whisky is produced at the Still Waters Distillery in Concord, Ontario, Canada.

This micro-distillery has been in operation since 2009 and is the first of its kind in Ontario, and its founders and owners, Barry Stein and Barry Bernstein, have had a significant influence on the development of craft distilleries in Canada. The facility produces single malt, rye and blended whiskeys. The Stalk & Barrel Blue Blend presented here debuted in late 2016. It is a blend of its own malt and rye distillates and Canadian corn whiskey aged for three years. The whiskey is bottled at 40% abv and is recommended by the producer for serving with mixers and in cocktails.

Nose : vanilla, brown sugar, cornflakes, canned pears and peaches, notes of anise and oak.

Taste : vanilla, caramel, cereal, milk fudge, unripe summer fruits and a pinch of pepper.

Finish : medium long, slightly alcoholic, with notes of milk fudge, cereal, sugar and oak.
