Product description
It's hard to believe, but one of our favorite whiskies will soon celebrate a quarter of a century of its debut.
Aberlour a'bunadh appeared on the market in 1997 and for a few years was available only in the Travel Retail network. Its name translates from Gaelic to "at the roots" or "at the source". The whisky is bottled in batches, always in the cask strength version and without cold filtration. The huge success of this whisky encouraged the owners to edit the extension of the a'bunadh line with the Alba edition. Originally, a'bunadh came exclusively from sherry casks, Alba refers to white oak (Quercus Alba) and in 2019 the first batch of a'bunadh aged in bourbon barrels debuted. The whisky is bottled at cask strength and without cold filtration. The Batch # 5 presented here was released at the end of 2021.
