LQLC Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 / 14% / 0.75l
Product description
A series of wines introduced to the market by actor John Malkovich. All the grapes come from the actor's family estate in the French Luberon, which he acquired in the mid-1980s. The first plantings appeared only in 2008, the actor focused on Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir, which in turn has a long tradition of cultivation in this region, dating back to the times of Louis XIV. An interesting fact is that the 10-hectare estate is located on an ancient lake, which is also reflected in the name of the wines - quelles means wells in French, there are 14 of them on the entire surface of the vineyard, and the grapes have adequate access to water if they grow long enough roots.
The wines are available under the lesser-known IGP, are the product of a typical boutique winery, but are gaining more and more recognition, especially among well-known names in the wine world.
Fermented for 10 days in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature, macerated for another 10 days and poured into new French oak barrels, where it spends 12 months. After this time, it matures in bottles for another year. On the nose, classic notes of berries, blackberries and violets with a delicate accent of cocoa and refreshing mint. On the palate, full, with clear tannins, elegant, slightly referring to the Medoc style. The finish is long and velvety, with a hint of mint accompanying the black fruits.
