Founded in 1988 by Andrew and Brian Symington, Signatory Vintage Whisky Company is today a leading independent publisher and distributor of whisky, as well as owner of the iconic Edradour Distillery.
Signatory has a tradition, highly valued by whisky lovers, of labeling each cask strength edition with information on the type and number of the cask, the date it was filled, bottled and the number of bottles to which the release is limited. The Glen Keith presented here, distilled on 26th May 1997, spent over 23 years in two hogshead casks (no. 72593 and 72594). Bottled on 26th April 2021 at cask strength (52.7% abv) in the prestigious Cask Strength Collection in an edition of 513 bottles.
Nose: pears, apples, vanilla, crème brûlée, banana cake, roasted peanuts, lemongrass, pinch of pepper, notes of potpourri and toasted oak.
Palate : caramel, vanilla pudding, milk fudge, cappuccino, sponge cake, pears, peaches, mixed nuts, cinnamon, white pepper and oak.
Finish : quite long, with notes of vanilla, caramel, toffee, summer fruits, lemongrass, oak tannins and a hint of pepper.
