Product description
St. George Spirits, founded in 1982 by Jörg Rupf in Alameda, California, is one of the oldest American craft distilleries.
Initially, it produced fruit brandies, rums and vodka, then single malt whiskey, and finally in the new century it added gin to its offer. Currently, St. George Spirits offers three versions of gin - Terroir, Botanivore and Dry Rye. The base of the latter is rye spirit distilled in a copper still (distilled 100% from rye), and the formula lists only six botanical ingredients: juniper berries (there are 50% more of them than in the other two gins), coriander, cumin, black peppercorns, grapefruit and lime peel. St. George Dry Rye Gin is extremely popular among rye whiskey lovers, we have even heard the term that it is a cross between gin and rye whiskey.
St. George Dry Rye is a one-of-a-kind gin, with a strong aroma of juniper and pepper and the spicy spices typical of rye whiskey. On the palate, a lot of spiciness, juniper, pine needles, pepper, coriander and cumin, broken by a delicate citrus sweetness. We recommend serving it in Martini and Negroni cocktails, as well as all classic cocktails, which include rye whiskey.
