Product description
Mòine single malt, a smoky and peaty version of Bunnahabhain, debuted in 2004 during Fèis Ìle (Islay Whiskey and Music Festival).
Recently (2020) the distillery produces around 1.8 million liters of distillate per year, 35% of which has a similar profile. A large part of it goes into the Black Bottle blend, hence the Mòine single malt editions are quite rare. The whisky presented here was distilled on December 2, 2010, aged in American oak barrels and finished in Amontillado sherry casks. Bottled in January 2020 at cask strength (56.9% abv) on the occasion of Fèis Ìle, which took place in a virtual form due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 1658 bottles went on sale.
