Product description

In recent years, Aberfeldy single malt has experienced an incredible sales dynamics, with just over half a million bottles sold in 2014 and over one and a half million just five years later.

More and more limited editions are coming to market, which undoubtedly increase the attractiveness of the brand. The Aberfeldy 18 year old presented here comes from hogshead cask no. 8510, selected by blender Stephanie MacLeod to celebrate the end of a 40-year career by long-time distillery manager Chris Anderson. In 1968 he started working at Caol Ila Distillery, in 1995 he became manager of Royal Brackli, from where he moved to Aberfeldy. The whisky was bottled at cask strength (54.9% abv) and the edition consisted of 248 bottles.

Aroma : floral-grassy, bouquet of wild flowers, freshly cut grass, walnuts, apples, pears, orange peel, vanilla, honey, green tea, sweet bread, traces of wet chalk and oak.

Palate: fruity, apples, pears, gooseberries, greengages, sweet breakfast cereals, honey, vanilla, lemongrass, white pepper, licorice, notes of wax and toasted oak.

Finish : long, with notes of vanilla, ripe fruit from the village orchard, licorice, pepper, toasted oak and hay.
