Product description
Hellyers Road has been in operation since 1999 and is currently Australia’s largest whisky distillery, producing 100,000 litres of distillate per year from a single pair of stills.
The stills’ bases are made of stainless steel, while the upper parts are made of copper. The distillery is named after Henry Hellyer, a 19th-century explorer and cartographer who, in 1827, mapped out a road through the Tasmanian bush that now leads to Hellyers Road Distillery. The distillery is open to the public and is visited by over 40,000 whisky lovers each year. Hellyers Road 15 Years Old debuted in 2018 and is the oldest official edition of this single malt, and has won gold medals at the World Whisky Awards in 2019-2020. The distillery uses distillates aged in American oak barrels.
