Product description
It is not known when Jacob Böhm was born and when he changed his surname to Beam, but it is certain that he came to America in the 1750s and settled in Maryland. From there he moved to Pennsylvania and in the late 1880s to what is now Kentucky.
He sold his first barrel of whiskey in 1795, three years after Kentucky was established as a state. It’s hard to believe that in 2021, the 17 millionth Jim Beam barrel has been filled, and the brand has sold more than 11 million cases, putting it outside the bourbon market and second only to Jack Daniel’s in the broad category of American whiskey. Since the 1950s, Beam has been releasing limited batches of bourbon in collectible vessels. The replica tanker shown here was released in 2012 just before Christmas and is filled with Jim Beam bourbon blended with fruit and holiday spices.
