Product description
Jim Beam whiskeys are produced at two distilleries in Kentucky, in Clermont and Boston.
The company is very reluctant to provide information about the formula of its bourbon, some sources indicate 75% corn, 15% rye and 10% malted barley, while others mention 75% corn, 13% rye and 12% malted barley. Beam's Choice 8 years old debuted in the 1960s and was initially intended exclusively for export. At the end of the century, the company changed its offer a bit and the 8-year-old version was distributed more widely as Black Label (bottled at 45% abv), while Beam's Choice will hit the market in a 5-year-old version. In our opinion, the classic Beam's Choice 8 years old presented here comes from the 1970s and was intended for the Italian market. Jim Beam has been the most popular bourbon for years, closing 2019 with sales of 10.4 million cases.
