Product description
Pulteney Distillery, built in 1826, is located in the town of Wick. It is named after Sir William Pulteney, who established Wick as a model fishing port in 1810.
The distillery is equipped with one pair of stills capable of distilling 1.8 million liters of alcohol per year. Since 1995, Pulteney has been owned by Inver House Distillers, a company that is now part of the Thai conglomerate ThaiBev. The 16-year-old presented here debuted in autumn 2018 as part of the Traveller's Exclusive series (for exclusive distribution in the Travel Retail network). After an initial maturation in bourbon barrels, the whisky was placed in European oak barrels seasoned with Oloroso sherry.
