Product description
The Isle of Arran is often called a miniature Scotland. There are charming lowlands, highlands, glens, streams and bays.
In the past, it was a paradise for moonshiners; at the beginning of the 19th century, 50 illegal distilleries were operating there, and at the beginning of the 21st, only one legal distillery is operating. In the middle of the first decade of the new century, Arran Distillery surprised with the various "finishes" of its whisky. The Arran presented here, after basic maturation in oak barrels, "finished" in a Lepanto PX Brandy barrel (brandy aged in Pedro Ximénez sherry barrels) from the Gonzalez Byass bodega. The whisky was bottled at cask strength (59.4% abv) on January 17, 2006 in an edition of 705 bottles.
