Product description
The history of Quorhum rum is linked to the Oliver family, descendants of Juanillo Oliver, a Spaniard who landed in Cuba in 1856 with the Spanish army.
In 1874, instead of returning to his homeland, he decided to settle in Cuba and there he devoted himself to the production of rum. In 1898, his estate fell victim to the Terra Rasa strategy and burned to the ground. Almost a hundred years later, his great-great-grandson, Pedro Ramon Oliver, discovered his ancestor's distilling legacy and, after carefully studying Juanillo's original notes, decided to continue his work. However, instead of settling in Cuba, he chose the Dominican Republic as the headquarters of his new company, where his company Oliver & Oliver has been operating since 1993. Quorhum rum is produced by distillation in traditional copper stills. The maturation process takes place in the solera system in American bourbon barrels. The 23-year-old version is a drink whose rich bouquet offers accents of dark chocolate, nuts, leather, a bit of tobacco and citrus.
