Crown Royal is a creation by Samuel Bronfman from 1939 on the occasion of the Canadian visit of King George V and his daughter Elizabeth, the current Queen Elizabeth II.
Since 2001, the brand has belonged to Diageo and with annual sales of 5.5 million cases, it is the second most popular whisky in the group's portfolio. In recent years, Diageo has been experimenting a lot with so-called "flavored" whiskies, Crown Royal Vanilla joined the offer in autumn 2016. It is described as "a blend of specially selected Crown Royal whiskies, enriched with the rich taste of Madagascar vanilla". Crown Royal Vanilla Flavored Whisky is bottled at 35% alcohol.
Aroma: vanilla extract, vanilla marshmallow, milk chocolate, shy fruit and oak tones.
Taste : dominated by the sweetness of vanilla, milk chocolate and very delicate oak notes.
Finish: vanilla, crème brûlée and a hint of oak.
