Product description
Miltonduff Distillery, built in 1824, is located near Elgin in the Speyside region.
In 1936, it became the property of the Canadian concern Hiram Walker & Sons, and production was taken over by the subsidiary of the Canadian company, George Ballantine & Sons. Since then, Miltonduff has been the heart of Ballantine's blends , which absorb almost the entire production and drastically reduce the supply of this whisky in the single malt version . Since 2005, both the Ballantine's brand and the Miltonduff distillery have been owned by Pernod Ricard, and the distillery, equipped with 6 large stills, produces almost 6 million liters of distillate annually. In the autumn of 2017, the long-awaited official edition of Miltonduff hit the market. This is a whisky composed of distillates aged in American oak barrels for at least 15 years and bottled at 40% alcohol.
Aroma: autumn leaves, hay, a bouquet of dry flowers, traces of licorice and cinnamon, a pinch of pepper, dried apples and a light note of almond.
Taste: mild, delicate floral notes, a bit of hay, apple pie sprinkled with cinnamon, lemon grass, cloves and a trace of licorice.
Finish: quite long and spicy, with notes of white pepper, hay, lemongrass and dried apples.
