Product description
Macduff Distillery is an investment by a group of private investors dating back to 1960.
Just three years later, the plant was taken over by William Lawson & Co. and the Macduff distillate became the main component of William Lawson's blend, currently the seventh best-selling Scotch whisky (approx. 35 million bottles per year). Since 1993, the distillery has belonged to John Dewar & Sons, a company that is part of the Bacardi group. The Macduff 2007 Vintage presented here is a proposal of Douglas Hamilton Co. in the Clan Denny series. The whisky spent 8 years in a refill hogshead cask (no. DH 11189). Douglas Hamilton is part of Douglas Laing & Co., a renowned bottler and distributor of whisky.
