Product description
“Bib & Tucker,” as the producer of this bourbon says, is a term for a special piece of clothing, such as a tuxedo or tailcoat, that we wear on special occasions.
This drink is a proposal of 35 Maple Street Spirits, a young company from California, which has had great success with the Masterson's line of Canadian whiskies. Bib & Tucker debuted in 2014, it was a 6-year-old small batch bourbon (allegedly the first batch was made from distillates over 7 years old). The company does not provide information about the origin of the whiskey, but a representative of it stated in an interview a few months earlier that it was distilled in Tennessee from a mash containing 70% corn, 26% rye and 4% barley malt. Such a formula basically excludes Jack Daniel's and George Dickel's distilleries and directs it to Prichard's Distillery (but this is just our speculation).
Nose: freshly cut grass, green apples, corn, vanilla, roasted chestnuts, traces of leather and oak.
Taste: delicate, light breath of the earth, cornflakes, notes of vanilla and honey, toasted rye bread, licorice and a bit of cinnamon.
Finish: medium long, with notes of pine needles, grass, licorice and anise.
