- The Peat’s Beast brand was introduced in 2011 by Fox Fitzgerald Whisky Company.
Product description
Peat's Beast, a whiskey brand from the Fox Fitzgerald Whiskey Trading Company portfolio, debuted in August 2011.
The company was founded a year earlier by Eamonn James, previously a manager for Ian Macleod Distillers and Whyte & Mackay. Peat's Beast was the company's first whisky, and the premiere edition consisted of 5,000 bottles. In 2014, Fox Fitzgerald offered the same whisky in a cask strength version (52.1% abv) and it was enthusiastically received by the market. The eye-catching label, designed by Doug Alves, a graphic artist born in Brazil, is undoubtedly the slightly burnt one, depicting a peat-eating beast.
