Product description
For most of us, the Samaroli brand is synonymous with top-class whisky.
Silvano Samaroli began his career in the whisky market in 1968 and immediately focused on single cask editions. Often, after selecting a barrel of whisky, the company decides to transfer its contents to another type of wood and age it for many years, so that the character of the drink differs as far as possible from the official versions. Ferry to Islay is one of the few blended malt whiskies in the company's offer. Here we present the second edition from April 2014, composed of distillates Caol Ila, Bunnahabhain and Laphroaig and bottled in the cask strength version (55.1% abv). It consisted of only 300 bottles. Producer's note:
The three pillars of this whisky are lightness, elegance and strength.
The aroma of mint, cosmetic powder and fresh fruit.
The taste is deceptive, initially mild like a balsam, but after a while it attacks with tart notes of peat and iodine.
The finish is as powerful as an explosion.
